At Salem UMC, we take the vision statement of our Conference seriously.  We seek to build a healthy and vibrant congregation not for its own sake, but for the purpose of making disciples for Jesus Christ.  In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus instructs us, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."  We keep these instructions at the forefront of who we are and what we do at Salem UMC.

Our ministry efforts take many forms at Salem.  We are constantly evaluating what we do to ensure we are being good stewards of our resources and that we are aligned with the mission, vision, and strategy of the larger United Methodist Church.  And, most importantly, we are always in prayer seeking guidance from God about the nature and direction of our ministry. God is our leader and inspiration.
